Mike was born in Washington, D.C. While watching other bands, Johnathan was influenced to pick up his instrument, which he has significantly mastered. Mike decided to go back to school to study music and eventually received a VA degree in Sociology from Central Connecticut State University. Johnathan returned to DC in 2001 and played with local bands with his funky style of playing and singing, which is the heartbeat of RAW.
